The Chanel Les 4 Ombres palette and review

I recently purchased the Les 4 Ombres quad in 204 Tisse Vendome. These are quite pricey for what you get but the colours are beautiful. The shadows remind me of the burberry eye shadows. They are very creamy with a lovely hint of shimmer running through them.

There are four shades: Ombre shade,  highlight, ombre shade, intensify.
I particularly like the first golden brown and the orangey coral colour. A perfect palette to create a smokey eye for the Summer. You can get it here from Boots. The colour lasts really well and doesn't crease at all. The only bug bear for me is the spongey applicators you get. I wish makeup companies would stop doing these- no-one ever uses them and they make the packaging bigger! Despite this it is a lovely palette. There are 11 more to choose from in various shades. Which is your favourite?

My Current favourites

It's been a while since I shared my favourite products with you so here are my current favourites:

Left to right:
Bare minerals tan lines, kiko mosaic blush, charlotte tilbury bronzed garnet, charlotte tilbury mona lisa, soap and glory peach party

These are the products I have been reaching for most days. The Charlotte tilbury eyes to mesmerise are AMAZING! They are little cream pots which look incredible and last all day. I definitely want to get my hands on more of these. I cannot wait for the collaboration with Norman Parkinson to come out in July.

Peach perfect

I have seen quite a lot of bloggers/youtubers talk about peachy colours and here are my favourite picks! I have been reaching for these peachy- bronze shades more and more now the weather is hotting up.
My favourites are:

This blush brick from soap and glory has to be my favourite. I actually prefer wearing the colours separately as eyeshadows. The colour pay off is amazing and there is a lovely mixture of golds, pinks and coppers. The colour on the right is when they are all mixed together. There are 2 other blush bricks in the range and I may have to go and get my hands on them very soon!

The L'Oreal L'Ombre eyeshadow is so pretty. There are several of these and they are so pigmented with a lovely shimmer. I think L'Oreal has to be my favourite high street brand at the moment for eye products. I seriously recommend trying these shadows. The Bourgeois colourband eyeshadow stick is another great pinky peach that I seem to be reaching for a lot. It is great for those days where you don't want to look too made up but want a fresh wash of colour.

What are our favourite peachy shades?

Selfridges beauty haul: show and swatch

Today I went to Selfridges and bought a few things that I have been eyeing up for a while.
I bought:

Top: Mac Soar lip pencil
Bottom left: Mac Mehr lipstick
Botton middle: Burberry kisses no.77 blush
Bottom right: Chanel coco rouge Adrienne

Here are the swatches and products on the lips. I absolutely love them all. The Mac soar lip pencil and Mac Mehr lipstick go so well together. A great recommendation from Lily Pebbles. These are all pinky shades, great for day and night wear.

These are absolutely gorgeous. A very nice lady at the Charlotte tilbury counter put Marie Antoinette on me (the darker browny shade) and I fell in love. I wore this for the rest of my shopping trip on a very hot day and it did not crease at all. Very impressed so far! I also really liked the shades Jean and Bette which were more golden. You can check out all of the colours out here.

My neutrals Mac palette

My palette

From top left: Crystal avalanche, vanilla, nylon, brule, orb
Phloof, naked lunch, omega, quarry, haux
All that glitters, sable, satin taupe,wood-winked, bronze

I have a couple of Mac palettes but this is my most used one as it contains all of the neutral colours. I particularly like Phloof, Naked lunch, wood-winked and bronze. There is everything you need here to create a lovely smokey eye or a neutral wash. When I first got into Mac, the only way of creating a palette was to by all of the individual shadows in the refill pans.

You can now by a neutrals palette from Mac (£65) which is much cheaper than buying 15 separate shadows and the palette (£166.50). These are my top picks from Mac if you are looking to invest in a palette.

 The warm neutrals palette £65

The warm neutrals palette contains:
Hey, warm breeze, gingersnap, dark brew, dance in the dark, brule vanilla extract, honey lust, amber lights, saddle, lemon tart, butter fudge, unwind, divine decadence. It is available here.

The cool neutrals palette £65

The cool neutrals palette contains:
Flounce, sweet allure, sun tweaked, blackberry, after dusk, pick me up, crushed clove, cozy grey, deception, brun, silver, fog, french clay, cumulus, pearled earth and black tied. It is available here.

 Amber x nine palette £30

There is also an amber x nine palette which is very pretty here. The eye shadows are quite a bit smaller than the normal ones but it is a lovely mix of browns/ golds. Perfect as a starter palette. The palette contains cosy grey, kitties, georgia peach, rice paper, creative copper, cork, don't tell, aromatic, pepper please.

My favourite eyeliners

My favourites

Often when I am in a rush/ can't be bothered to do a full eye make up look, I often reach for a pretty eyeliner to line the eye and smudge out. These are my top 5 favourites:

Swatches

(colours listed above in left to right order)

I think there is a lovely mixture here. I really like Mac and Kiko products. They last really well and are very pigmented. I would really like to try the Charlotte tilbury liners next.
Will they be as good? Have you tried any eyeliners that I should give a go?

My new Kate Spade phone case

I have recently upgraded my contract to an iPhone 6 and I have been looking forward to getting a new case for ages. I wanted a case that protected the phone at the front and back whilst also looking great.
In the end I chose this two piece Kate Spade case from the apple store. The front section covers the edges at the front with a silicone edge going over the side buttons. Then the back part snaps on.
This case was £29.95 and is available in store or online here

On the apple website there are 5 different designs to choose from but this was definitely my favourite.

These are the designs available from the apple store:

These cases are more protective than the ones on the Kate Spade website as they are in 2 pieces giving protection to the front and back.

These are designs from the Kate Spade uk website:

There are some lovely designs on this website too. I particularly like the second one!

Which is your favourite?
